Brooklyn WATE was invited to participate and facilitate our "Intention with Mechanism Workshop at a wonderfully curated event by Reform Consulting LLC. Their EmpowerHer Picnic provided high school females with new learning, skill-building, and memorable experiences.
MLK Day of Service -Special Open Closet | January 15, 2023
In the spirit of community and on such a special day this year, we hosted a special installment of the Open Closet as part of the Brooklyn Alpha's Annual MLK Day of Service. It was held at the Bedford Central Presbyterian Church in the cusps of the Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Communities.

Dec 15th, 2023 Brooklyn WATE was invited to participarte in the One Brooklyn Health Christmas Celebration at Brookdale Hospital in East NY, Brooklyn. This event's target was making sure that maternal women in the community had access to food, games, fun, gifts for the family, and of course clothing; as we hosted our Mini Open Closet.

Brooklyn WATE was so excited to hold a Mini Open Closet within an amazing collaborative 3rd Annual Holiday Toy/Clothing Giveaway, hosted by The Brooklyn Sectiion of the National Council for Negro Women & the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

It's the season of being grateful and giving, so we had our 1st Open Closet Boutique. We provided new & gently used items for FREE, and dispensed 120 articles of clothing(men, women & children), 25 handbags, 18 coats, 14 pairs of footwear, baby blankets, pampers and a baby bouncer.
