We popped up at the Earth School for their fall fair to get some more eligible New Yorkers ready and registered to vote.

Our Pop-In Voter's Registration Drive made it to the Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center to register eligible senior voters for this year's upcoming general election.
Juneteenth 2024 @ WeeksVille Village | June 15th 2024
Brooklyn WATE had the honor of participating in Weeksville Village's Juneteenth Annual Food Festival. We had a time! It was family-filled and a great way to close our service year with a Juneteenth Open Closet.
EmpowerHER Picnic, Gouvenours Island, NY| June 11th 2024
Brooklyn WATE was invited to participate and facilitate our "Intention with Mechanism Workshop at a wonderfully curated event by Reform Consulting LLC. Their EmpowerHer Picnic provided high school females with new learning, skill-building, and memorable experiences.

One of the greatest actions of love is support. Brooklyn WATE supported the phenomenal efforts of Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. as they showered deserving mothers with a Mother's Day brunch and goodies.
Brownsville Women's Center, Crown Heights| April 13th 2024
Brooklyn WATE in partnership with the Brooklyn section of the National Council of Negro Women Inc. (NCNW) supported the Brownsville Women's Center by donating 800 feminine hygiene products for at least 150 women in that facility.

Spring Coat Drive | March 9th 2024
Brooklyn WATE hosted an Open Closet- A Spring Coat Installation with the support of Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. pageant participants for migrants who needed support.
MLK Day of Service -Special Open Closet | January 15, 2023
In the spirit of community and on such a special day this year, we hosted a special installment of the Open Closet as part of the Brooklyn Alpha's Annual MLK Day of Service. It was held at the Bedford Central Presbyterian Church in the cusps of the Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Communities.

Dec 15th, 2023 Brooklyn WATE was invited to participarte in the One Brooklyn Health Christmas Celebration at Brookdale Hospital in East NY, Brooklyn. This event's target was making sure that maternal women in the community had access to food, games, fun, gifts for the family, and of course clothing; as we hosted our Mini Open Closet.

CAMBA Inc. invited us to share the good tidings and cheer with our Joy Drive. We made sure that each member of families received a gift sprinkled with joy. It was a day of arts and crafts too!
Open Closet Boutique | Nov 2022
It's the season of being grateful and giving, so we had our 1st Open Closet Boutique. We provided new & gently used items for FREE, and dispensed 120 articles of clothing(men, women & children), 25 handbags, 18 coats, 14 pairs of footwear, baby blankets, pampers and a baby bouncer.

In the season of giving, we gifted each member of a family a little bit of joy that people donated. Each gift was wrapped and given out the day after Christmas.
Black Women Shoot II | Dec 2020 (A)
Dec 6th's was a much smaller event due to the concerns around the pandemic. Nonetheless it was intimate, and we were in a space that fostered social distancing, and the ladies had a more intimate lesson and practice with knowledgeable instructors.

October's Black Women Shoot event brought the ladies indoor to get their practice on. Ladies used more than 5 different firearms and learned to respect the tool and skill of firearm education.
